McGaw Branch Update

A photo of APL FCU's McGaw Branch

We thank you again for your patience and understanding as we work to get our Columbia Branch reopened, and want to provide you with an update of our progress.

The negotiations with our insurance provider and the general contractor are now complete, and the construction work to restore the inside of our Columbia Branch is underway.

With repairs to the water main already completed (along with the repaving of the asphalt where the digging occurred in our parking lot), the remaining restoration work is to the interior of the building. This means we should not have any weather-related delays in the weeks ahead.

Our goal is to have the Branch fully reopened in January. We will provide additional updates during the construction process.

Holiday Food Drive & Toys for Tots

Last Friday we launched a special holiday food drive to benefit the Howard County Food Bank, and the immediate response from our members has been amazing. It’s truly wonderful to see such a strong sense of community on display.

In addition to the ongoing Food Drive, which we will keep going through the holiday season, we will once again collect toys for the Toys for Tots Foundation.

You may drop off new, unwrapped toys at our Main Office or JHU/APL Campus Branch beginning Monday, November 17, through Wednesday, December 10. Monetary donations for both Toys for Tots and the Food Drive are also welcome.

And while you’re visiting, don’t forget to pick up one of our complimentary standard wall calendars or large, 3-month wall calendars. These will be available for pick-up beginning Monday, November 24, while supplies last!
