American Express Travelers Cheques for Two are available for the low cost of 1% of the value. Still the safest way to carry cash while traveling, travelers checks are more quickly and easily replaced when lost or stolen than cash, credit or debit cards. One of the most recognized brands in the world, American Express Travelers Cheques are accepted at millions of locations worldwide and carry the support of a 24-hour call center.

Foreign Currency Services and Foreign Travelers Cheques & Gift Cheques
APL Federal Credit Union understands your foreign travel needs and has teamed up with American Express to offer you competitive exchange rates on purchasing or redeeming foreign currency, purchasing American Express Travelers Cheques, Cheques for Two and Gift Cheques also in foreign denominations. Many foreign currencies are available and some are available by special order. Please contact the Credit Union for available currencies and Travelers Cheque denominations.

Orders may be placed in person at any branch location. Once your order is placed, your order will arrive at the branch of your choice within two business days. Available delivery methods are 2nd Day Express for $13.00 or Next Day Priority for $16.00. Delivery costs must be paid at the time the order is placed.

Fees for Travelers Cheques in a foreign denomination are as follows:

• Regular Travelers Cheques in a Foreign Currency: FREE

• Checks for Two Travelers Cheques in a Foreign Currency: 1% of USD Face Value

• Gift Cheques: $2.50 USD each
